Aretha Franklin (1942–2018), “The Queen of Soul”, was an American soul, jazz, gospel, and funk singer, pianist, and songwriter. Known for her voice as well as her commitment as a civil rights activist, fighter, and spokesperson, she is considered one of the most influential African-American female singers of the 20th century. My project consists of paying tribute to this artist by designing the art direction and visual identity of a cultural centre in Paris bearing her name.
